the Beach
Those who love the surf, sand, and sun
should definitely plan to visit at least
one of Galveston’s seven beaches. If you thrive in the hustle and bustle of
crowds, hang out at the Seawall Urban Park. If you prefer a quieter beach
experience, try Galveston Island State
Park.
Check
Out Moody Gardens
Perhaps Galveston’s most eye-catching
landmark, the Moody Gardens are actually
three glass pyramids, each offering different things to see and do. Take your
pick of the Aquarium Pyramid, the Rainforest Pyramid, and the Discovery Pyramid
-- or visit all three!
Explore
the Strand Historic District
Whether you want to window shop or get
a bite to eat, the Strand Historic District is the place to go. As you stroll
along the Strand, be sure to check out all the iconic Victorian and Greek
Revival architecture and unique boutiques. The Strand is also known for its
many old-fashioned candy shops, many bars
and pubs, and highly rated restaurants.
